BODY WORN CAMERAS

Pursuant to the New Jersey Attorney General Guidelines, the Township of Union Police Department utilizes Body Worn Cameras (BWC) to record all interactions with the public. The Axon Body 4 body cameras (depicted below) are utilized by all uniformed and plainclothes officers (when applicable) during the performance of their daily duties.

These cameras are affixed to the Officer's outer garment, around the upper torso. All Body Worn Cameras will be used in accordance with the guidelines established by the Attorney General and department policy.
